EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY for work camper couples.
Position requirements and responsibilities:
Must own your own RV.
The work camping couple agrees to provide approximately 30 total hours (15 hours each person per week), hours scheduled together for a couple. Average schedule is 3 days, five hours or less each day. Will be on-call 24/7 for campground emergencies.
Duties of the work camping positions include, but are not limited to:
Reservations on the Campground Master system, store sales and general store management, cleaning (bathrooms, laundry room, cabins, rental units, and store area), good telephone etiquette, operation of the sluice for our fossil and gem mining (as easy as flipping a switch), being helpful and courteous to our guests.
General maintenance of facilities including trash pick-up, care of water and sewer plants, general landscaping, pool and hot tub cleaning and maintenance. Must know or learn how to properly park an RV on a site and operate a propane dispenser. Knowledge in operation of backhoes/tractor, electrical, plumbing, or other skilled trades would be a bonus.
Must be comfortable with various desert animals and domestic animals.
Must be comfortable with selling beer and wine from the camp ground store.
For the positions of Work Campers, you would be compensated as follows:
1.The use of one full hook-up RV site including sewer, water, cable tv, trash removal and electric.
2.All amenities in the campground available to campers such as wifi, pool and spa.
3.Propane free of charge for your own use.
4.Laundry allowance of $15 per week (if not on board your rig).
5.15% discount on gifts, in stock RV supplies, food, & drink from the campground store (excluding alcohol, stamps and newspapers).
6.End of season bonus possible depending on season results and work ethics of each work camper.
